Good to Knows

Hello! Thank you for your interest in Trophy Tails Fishing, I look forward to seeing you at the dock! Before you board, here are a few things to know for your trip:

1.      All trips are exclusively wadefishing with artificial lures only.

2.      Trips are full day charters, and include water and Gatorade, pictures and fish cleaning.

3.      Clients are encouraged to bring their own tackle, but please let the guide know if your group will need any wading equipment or fishing tackle.

4.      Beer is allowed for clients, but please stay responsible.

5.      Rescheduling at the dock due to weather events is at the discretion of the guide. Your safety is my top priority!

The 2021 Freeze hit us pretty hard down here on the lower Texas coast, and though our fishery survived remarkably and is recovering much better than we thought it would, I would like to make a note to clients that through the remainder of 2022 and beginning of 2023 all Speckled Trout will be catch and release. This will help ensure our fishery is strong and healthy for years to come. Some of the best trout years came after the 1983 and 1989 freezes, so we have a lot to look forward to if we do our part!

If you are needing some fresh fish for the table, no problem at all! Redfish are excellent table fare, and we can absolutely find a few for your grill!
